Heavy Equipment Operator
Where will you work: Onsite South Fort Meade (5880 Manley Road, Fort Meade, Florida 33841 )
The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate heavy machinery for earth moving, phosphate plant & mining preparation & excavation projects.
What you'll do:
Operates construction, excavation, hauling equipment including, but not limited backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, or grade tractors.
Perform work sites for land clearing & excavation.
Uses excavating machinery to dig holes, trenches & earth moving efforts.
Transports tools, pipe & equipment to and from work sites.
Operates machinery used in preparation for phosphate mining in the field & product inventory management in/around the plant.
Inspects & fuel equipment for shift.
Report the need for routine maintenance and repairs.
Operate heavy equipment in close to proximity to people.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Maintain necessary documentation.
What you'll need:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous heavy equipment operation preferred.
Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities.
Ability to read & Interpret mine plans.
Ability to follow instructions.
Prolonged periods of operating heavy machinery.
Able to work long periods including shift, evenings and weekends when necessary.
Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
