Production Planner

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for the manufacturing & demand planning of our aerospace products in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with other departments (CS, Production, Planning, Sales, Warehouse, QC) to ensure requirements are flown down to suppliers.

• Issue purchase order to supply sites in timely manner based on requisition from planning and ensure PO is accepted and acknowledged with delivery schedule.

• Customer Service to confirm Customer PO acceptance and help communication.

• Monitor order confirmations, prices, promised ship dates from suppliers.

• Maintain contact with freight forwarders regarding shipping schedules, expected arrival time of goods and provide up to date information to Customer Service.

• Assist product steward ship, help chemical registration on demand, and update hazardous import and sale registration.

• Manage non inventory items and requisitioned items such as office equipment and supplies, capital items and service contracts.

• Ensure credit is received from suppliers (including forwarders) whenever it is their responsibility (damaged product, non-conforming product, etc.).

• Other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Import and Export knowledge on documentation, regulation label, customs declaration etc.

• High level English skill for complicated communication with other ASCs, manufacturing, operation etc.

• Must have knowledge of IT system to manage PO and Inventory.

• Good understanding of EH&S, Quality Procedures of purchasing.

• Self motivated, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
