About the role

Job Purpose

We have an Account Manager opportunity available for an experienced pharmaceutical sales professional within our Oncology portfolio.

Reporting into the Sales Manager, you will have full ownership and accountability for managing accounts within your territory; providing a consistent, science-led and value-added service for health care professionals that supports best public health outcomes for people to be prevented from preventable diseases.

Key Responsibilities

Sales

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive and strategic account plan to drive value and deliver growth.

  • Establishing and developing effective commercial relationships to promote and competitively sell products.

  • Supporting the implementation of key marketing campaign in the assigned accounts which differentiate and enhance GSK’s standing in the healthcare market.

  • Ensure that key accounts and stakeholders are engaged, educated and informed to drive growth.

  • Continuing to expand your knowledge in the Onco-Hematology diseases and portfolio.

Territory Management

  • Continuously identify and profile key target customers and find the opportunities to drive performance.

  • Identify business opportunities within territory and be able to execute and follow up on progress and outcome.

Stakeholder management

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage relationships with Healthcare Professionals, key institutions, professional associations, decision makers and other key stakeholders

  • Maintain high level of customer service with identifying and resolving customer queries and problems proactively.

  • Working in partnership with GSK commercial, medical and sales teams to deliver objectives in line with GSK strategic priorities

Basic qualifications

  • Preferably a degree with relevant science or business background.

  • Preferably with at least 2 years of established experience in a pharmaceutical sales role with an understanding of the complexities of working in the dynamic environment.

  • Experience in coverage of Medical Oncologists & Hematologists will be an added advantage

  • Demonstrated planning ability and strong organizational and executional skills.

  • Clear and influential communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • An aptitude for science with the ability to relay complex information in a clear and tailored format.

  • For this position, driving license and a car possession is essential, as driving mobility within Singapore is required.

Competencies and Skills Required:

  • Possess Clinical Knowledge, Scientific Fluency and Selling Skills ie ability to explain clinical benefits to HCPs confidently & accurately.

  • Demonstrate difficult objection handling excellence, able to demonstrate appetite for fast moving science and data to ensure robust interaction and discussion with HCPs.)

  • Competent in Strategic Customer Engagement & Relationship Building ie building trust-based relationships with Specialists and Multi-Disciplinary Team, executing Omnichannel engagement strategies (face-to-face, virtual, and digital tools eg Veeva CRM) to maximise reach and adherence.

  • Show ability to drive Key Account Management initiatives independently vs relying on brand team solely to influence prescribing behaviour to improve patient recruitment rate)

  • Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior in Compliance, Agility and never give up mindset in face of stiff competition and adapt strategies based on evolving market dynamics, ensuring all promotional activities comply with local medical and compliance standards

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong business acumen

  • Being a team-oriented contributor

  • Strong stakeholder’s engagement skills are important to work across commercial teams.

  • Able to work independently with a self-motivated and solution-oriented mindset
