Position Summary
The Marketing Manager – Oncology is responsible for driving strategic and operational marketing initiatives for oncology-focused NGS solutions across South Asia. The role partners closely with regional Market Development, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Global Business Unit teams to execute campaigns, support territory-level growth, strengthen clinical engagement, and expand adoption of genomics in cancer diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Business Planning
- Develop and execute cross-functional marketing strategies to accelerate adoption of oncology NGS solutions across South Asia.
- Support regional business objectives with clear ownership of marketing performance, demand generation, and revenue growth metrics.
- Lead segmentation, competitive analysis, pricing insights, and portfolio lifecycle management for oncology sequencing workflows.
Go to Market & Commercial Enablement
- Build targeted sales enablement programs aligned with regional go-to-market strategy, including clinical evidence communication, product positioning, and educational tools.
- Coordinate regional marketing and commercial strategy meetings with country leadership to ensure alignment on oncology growth plans.
- Drive new product introductions (NPIs), product upgrades, pricing proposals, and territory-level positioning initiatives.
Campaign Execution & Customer Engagement
- Adapt global and APAC oncology marketing campaigns for local execution, ensuring relevance to clinical oncology and translational research markets.
- Lead development and localization of digital content, scientific materials, and communication assets to strengthen precision oncology awareness.
- Organize and execute congresses, symposia, customer events, and scientific engagement activities to showcase NGS solutions.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with oncology KOLs, molecular pathology labs, cancer centers, and clinical research institutions.
- Establish reference sites for oncology NGS workflows and drive collaborations supporting clinical adoption.
- Create structured feedback loops with commercial teams, clinicians, and partners to refine messaging and improve customer experience.
Market Insights & Research
- Conduct regional market intelligence, VOC studies, workflow assessments, and adoption-barrier evaluations to inform strategy.
- Assess competitive landscape and refine product positioning to deliver AOP goals and increase share in oncology diagnostics.
- Support channel partners, distributors, and clinical laboratories with training programs and technical/marketing resources.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills; ability to simplify complex oncology and genomics concepts into actionable marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic marketing, demand generation, or product management within life sciences or diagnostics.
- High learning agility with ongoing interest in precision oncology, genomics, and molecular diagnostics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, influence cross-functional teams, and thrive in a fast-paced matrix environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across clinicians, researchers, and commercial partners.
- Comfortable driving change, enabling adoption of innovative genomic technologies, and presenting scientific/market insights to senior leadership.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Qualifications
- PhD, MD, or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Oncology, or a related field; MBA in Marketing preferred.
- 5+ years of marketing or commercial experience in life sciences, molecular diagnostics, genomics, or precision medicine.
- Clinical background (Dr.) or experience in oncology diagnostics/NGS is strongly preferred.
