To help us fulfill this mission, we are looking for an experienced and driven marketer to lead our brand and service marketing efforts in Japan — someone with a strong marketing instinct who thrives in fast-paced environments, tackles complex challenges, and helps build a service that customers genuinely love and prefer. We are seeking a proven brand builder with a track record of growing strong consumer brands. A creative, data-informed, and digitally savvy brand marketer, the Manager - Brand Marketing will be responsible for strengthening Prime Video brand salience and supporting exceptional growth of the service across customer cohorts. You will be a skilled strategist with a passion for deeply understanding customers and translating that knowledge into actionable results, bringing together analytical rigor and creative inspiration to uncover new perspectives on the Prime Video brand and what it means for customers.
You will be equally comfortable thinking strategically, working as an individual contributor, and generating and executing creative marketing ideas that drive growth, customer consideration, and preference for our service. Strong candidates will have experience working at leading marketing organizations and have deep experience with branding, digital and social marketing channels, and go-to-market plans. Reporting to the Head of Brand & Social Marketing, Japan, the Brand Marketing Manager owns the brand marketing charter for Prime Video Japan and works directly with internal teams and external partners on marketing execution to help grow our brand. You will leverage consumer insights and operational understanding to deliver marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives that delight and engage entertainment fans. Your clarity of vision and communication, in both writing and speaking, will help us deliver on our ambitious growth goals.
Key job responsibilities
• Support local and regional marketing leadership and work closely with cross-functional marketing teams to build a strong, locally relevant Prime Video brand presence in Japan.
• Design and lead marketing initiatives and campaigns that deliver on brand goals, new customer acquisition, engagement objectives, and service awareness, deploying these initiatives with a time-bound cadence.
• Leverage a mix of insights and innovation to create compelling service narratives grounded in deep customer understanding (attitudes and behaviors). Translate internal and external research into insights that power service marketing and advertising strategies.
• Support creative development and delivery of marketing assets across Amazon-owned platforms as well as above-the-line paid media and social channels. Collaborate with external partners (creative agencies, production partners) to create and deploy marketing campaigns.
• Own the brand governance charter for Prime Video Japan, ensuring brand guidelines are consistently followed across all marketing touchpoints.
• Lead stakeholder management efforts, including document reviews and periodic updates to internal and external audiences.
• Partner with counterparts across Amazon teams and locales to share best practices on initiatives and execution.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience producing marketing promotional material for Owned & Operated channels
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience in brand identity and voice development
- Experience in online marketing channels such as social media marketing, display advertising, and search engine marketing
- Experience in media and brand planning
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience producing marketing promotional material for Owned & Operated channels
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
