The Application Engineer is responsible for configuring, enhancing, and maintaining critical applications so they are reliable, scalable and compliant.  The role leverages their expert understanding of technical solutions to optimize processes and improve the organizational productivity and efficiency.  

This position reports to the Smart Manufacturing System Owner and is part of the Enterprise Applications Team located in Bengaluru, India and will be an on-site role.   

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Provide expert guidance on the use and utilization of critical enterprise applications 

• Configure and optimize enterprise applications for business processes 

• Improve system performance, usability, adoption and maximize value from applications 

• Assist with application integrations between other systems to ensure processes are appropriate and data integrity is preserved between systems of record 

• Act as the Service Desk escalation point to troubleshoot, resolve, and standardize work to prevent the re-occurrence of application issues 

• Work with Business Owners, System Owners and Business Analysts to develop and document requirements, configuration updates, feature reviews and enhancements 

• Execute in accordance with industry best practices for security, compliance, readiness, performance, scalability and user experience 

• Collaborate with global and local cross-functional teams to translate requirements and deliver impactful  solutions   

• Contribute to Agile/Scrum activities learning to estimate effort and deliver changes within sprint timeframes and commitments  

• Conduct functional and UAT testing as required  

The essential requirements of the job include: 

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business, Computer Science or a related field 

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in Application Engineering (to include advanced support and system administration)  

• Experience with Enterprise Applications. 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

• Smart Manufacturing Applications such as LIMS, eQMS, and MES 

• Experience in regulated environments, preferably SOX, FDA and GMP 

• Highly collaborative with success in a matrixed and globally distributed environment
