Principal Delivery Consultant - Application Engineering, ASEAN Professional Services

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a Principal Delivery Consultant – Application Engineering to join our team in Thailand. In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex, large-scale application modernization and engineering engagements for our most strategic customers across the ASEAN region, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI/ML and Generative AI to accelerate transformation outcomes.

As a Principal Delivery Consultant - Application Engineering, you will be a key leader in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing deep technical expertise and strategic guidance throughout the engagement lifecycle. You will be proficient in leading the architecture of complex, scalable, and secure application solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You'll work closely with C-level executives and senior stakeholders to assess current application portfolios, define modernization strategies, and drive the implementation of cloud-native, AI-augmented solutions on AWS.

You will serve as a trusted advisor — providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies including AI/ML and Generative AI, and innovative application engineering approaches. You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the engagement. You will also help customers explore the art of the possible with machine learning and AI, developing scalable solutions on AWS that deliver measurable business value.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Key job responsibilities
Application Architecture and Engineering Leadership:

- Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure AWS application solutions tailored to customer needs, including cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerized and serverless platforms

- Provide deep technical guidance on application modernization strategies — including re-platforming, re-architecting, and re-factoring legacy monolithic applications to modern, distributed architectures

- Drive the adoption of AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities within application engineering engagements, helping customers integrate intelligent services (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q) into their application stacks

Strategic Delivery and Program Execution:

- Drive large, complex customer engagements from ideation through architecture design, scoping, and delivery to produce high-quality, scalable outcomes

- Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for the most complex application engineering programs, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, resolving blockers, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery

- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to define the strategic vision, objectives, and scope of application modernization and AI/ML transformation programs

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:

- Serve as the principal technical advisor and delivery lead for AWS's most complex application engineering engagements in the ASEAN region

- Advise customer technologists and business leads on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions — helping them explore the art of the possible with cloud-native application engineering and machine learning

- Build and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with customer executives, partners, and key stakeholders; influence and negotiate outcomes through others who are not direct reports

Thought Leadership and Organizational Impact:

- Lead the development of frameworks, methods, and best practices that deliver prescriptive guidance to customers on application modernization and AI-augmented engineering

- Drive the creation and implementation of scalable mechanisms that improve quality, productivity, and efficiency across the organization

- Contribute reusable assets, accelerators, and intellectual property that differentiate the AWS ProServe portfolio in application engineering

- Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts; lead software engineering best practices across testing, source control, code reviews, and deployment/release management processes
