In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.

Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.

The People Team exists to empower our people and teams to do their best work so we can collectively deliver BridgeBio’s mission. This role will be central to building the systems, workflows, and intelligent automation that allow us to scale efficiently while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit that defines us.

Position Summary

The Senior Director, People Operations Innovation & Systems is a strategic, systems-oriented leader responsible for transforming how the People function operates at BridgeBio. Reporting to the Head of People, this individual will architect and lead a lean, high-impact team focused on workflow optimization, technology enablement, and automation across all People Centers of Excellence.

This leader will design the next generation of People operations—removing friction, reducing tier-one administrative work through intelligent automation, and creating an integrated, tech-forward ecosystem that enables People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Community & Culture, and Total Rewards to operate at peak performance.

Mission

To design and build a scalable, intelligent People operations infrastructure that improves how work gets done across BridgeBio. By optimizing workflows, deploying advanced systems, and embedding automation into daily operations, this role enables the broader People Team—and the entire organization—to move faster, focus on higher-value work, and deliver an exceptional employee and manager experience during a pivotal stage of company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end redesign of core People workflows across the employee lifecycle (hire to retire).

  • Identify friction points, redundancies, and manual tier-one processes and replace them with streamlined, tech-enabled solutions.

  • Develop and own a comprehensive 18–24 month People technology and workstream roadmap aligned to company growth and commercialization needs.

  • Evaluate, select, implement, and optimize tools that maximize efficiency and insight across the People function.

  • In partnership with IT, design and implement an intelligent Bot solution to eliminate tier-one administrative work across all People COEs.

  • Establish metrics to track automation impact, time saved, productivity gains, and user adoption.

  • Build and lead a nimble, high-performing team focused on systems, automation, and process innovation.

  • Serve as the primary People partner to IT
