Assistant Manager - Sustainability and Internal Communication

What are we looking for?
Drive sustainability advocacy across management, employees, and key stakeholders, while leading innovative community investment programs that engage customers, agents, and communities in need. Oversee internal communication channels, including PMLI. PRUNews and 1-Pru, to ensure effective messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
What are we expecting from this role?
- Support strategic planning by contributing to the development and execution of sustainability roadmaps and annual action plans.
- Drive sustainability advocacy by engaging management, employees, and key stakeholders through targeted initiatives and communication strategies.
- Coordinate with Prudential Group Sustainability Team to cascade initiatives to the LBU level, including KPIs, training programs, maturity assessments, and reporting requirements.
- Lead innovative community investment programs, such as financial literacy initiatives, by creatively deploying Cha-Ching and LEVELA in the Myanmar market.
- Prepare and consolidate sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Group standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen Prudential’s brand reputation as a responsible organization committed to building resilience within communities.
- Manage internal communication channels (PMLI.Prunews and 1-Pru) to deliver timely, accurate, and impactful messaging aligned with sustainability goals.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using data-driven insights to enhance sustainability and community engagement initiatives.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure alignment with organizational objectives for sustainability and community programs.
- Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for sustainability initiatives and community investment projects.
- Facilitate internal campaigns to promote sustainability achievements and encourage employee participation.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or professional certification in ESG, CSR, or the applicant needs to possess and any special requirements of the job.
- 3–5 years of experience in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or related fields.
- Sustainability Management is an advantage.
- Experience in internal communications and stakeholder engagement preferred.
- Exposure to project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles, sustainability frameworks, and reporting standards (e.g., GRI, UN SDGs).
- Familiarity with community investment programs and financial literacy initiatives.
- Knowledge of internal communication tools and strategies.
- Excellent English and Burmese communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
- Innovative mindset with a passion for sustainability and social impact.
- Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality outputs.
