The Opportunity

  • Raise the bar across internal platforms and the customer-facing support portal by designing efficient, intuitive experiences that help both Kraken's teams and its customers get to resolution faster.

  • Shape and evolve the design patterns and systems used across our internal product suite, ensuring consistency and quality at scale.

  • Craft exceptional workflows by collaborating closely with other designers, product managers, engineers, and the operational stakeholders who use these platforms every day.

  • Influence decision-makers to uphold high standards of usability and experience quality, even in internal-facing contexts where UX is often an afterthought.

  • Own your work fully, taking accountability for design quality, outcomes, and measurable impact on team efficiency and satisfaction. Define and track the KPIs that tell you whether your work is actually making a difference.

  • Use data to inform your design decisions, drawing on usage metrics, research insights, and business context to prioritize the right problems and validate solutions.

  • Stay close to the people who use what you build by conducting research and gathering insights from internal users to continuously refine and improve your design direction.

  • Contribute actively to design reviews, both seeking and offering constructive, supportive feedback that helps raise team-wide standards.

What Good Looks Like

  • 3 months. You have the lay of the land. You've spent time with the teams who use what we build, you understand where the friction is, and you've shipped at least one improvement that made someone's day measurably better. You're contributing to design reviews, finding your footing with engineering and product partners, and already using AI tools to move faster through exploration and iteration.<
