Quality Engineer I

Our team is seeking a passionate Quality Engineer II to join us in maintaining the highest standards of quality within our business units. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a regulated environment and drive continuous improvement within our Quality Management System (QMS) while adhering to cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in root cause investigations for internal and external quality non-conformances, using tools like 5 Whys and FMEA to drive corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement quality-related plant improvements, including raw material and finished product qualifications.
  • Identify and execute corrective and preventative actions to enhance customer satisfaction and improve the quality management system.
  • Conduct statistical analysis of property data and proactively manage risks associated with non-conformance.
  • Lead production improvement projects and coordinate responses for customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Initiate, monitor, and execute quality improvement programs to align with Critical Operating Tasks (COTs) and support document control processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality-related role within a chemical manufacturing environment adhering to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, and NSF standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to establish and communicate key quality metrics and drive quality initiatives effectively.
  • Proven experience participating in auditing, conducting root cause analysis, and leading corrective and preventive actions.
  • Proficient in quality IT systems (LIMS, SAP, SPC) and adept at data analysis using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of imparting complex information succinctly and clearly to both internal teams and customers.
  • A proactive change agent with superior time management and leadership skills.
  • Experience with packaging and API is a plus
