By joining Datavant today, you’re stepping onto a driven and highly collaborative team that is passionate about creating transformative change in healthcare.
What We’re Looking For
As Business Systems Manager, Life Sciences, you will own and evolve the systems that power how we operate. Reporting to the Life Sciences Operations Lead, you will serve as the embedded systems owner for the vertical, responsible for platform architecture (e.g., Monday.com), workflow design, integrations, and operational reporting. You will partner closely with Operations, Finance, delivery teams, and IT to ensure our tools are simple, scalable, and aligned with how the business actually runs.
This is not an IT support role. It is a strategic, hands-on position focused on building durable, pragmatic systems that improve operator experience and enable strong leadership visibility.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary owner and architect of a platform such as Monday.com for the Life Sciences business, supporting project delivery, time tracking, resourcing, and capacity planning across multiple sub-business units
- Lead the migration and consolidation of legacy tools into Monday, simplifying workflows and eliminating redundant systems
- Design scalable system architecture that supports current operations and future growth, balancing flexibility with standardization
- Partner with Operations and Finance to build dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into utilization, delivery health, forward-looking capacity, and project-level performance
- Translate evolving business processes into clear, intuitive system workflows that reduce friction and administrative burden for operators.
- Design and oversee integrations between Monday and other core systems (e.g., CRM, collaboration tools, BI platforms), partnering with Enterprise Applications and IT to ensure governance alignment
- Establish a structured intake and prioritization process for system enhancements, maintaining a forward-looking roadmap for the Life Sciences tooling ecosystem
- Enforce data integrity, access controls, and enterprise security standards within Life Sciences-owned systems
What You Need to Succeed
- 5-9 years of experience in Business Systems, Business Operations, Enterprise Applications, or related roles in scaling organizations
- Hands-on ownership and administration of Monday.com (or a similar workflow platform) in a multi-team environment
- Experience implementing or migrating teams onto new systems at scale (100–500 users preferred)
- Strong business process design mindset, able to translate operational needs into simple, durable system architecture
- Experience building dashboards and operational reporting that support executive decision-making
- Familiarity with system integrations and cross-platform workflow automation
- High EQ communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, practical terms
- A pragmatic, operator-first approach, focused on the simplest durable solution rather than unnecessary complexity
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with shifting priorities
