At our Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of aircraft engine nacelle systems and engine components. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our EH&S/Facilities Department for a student from a relevant discipline to undertake a summer placement. This will be a minimum 12-week placement, running approximately between June and September, and will be based at our facility in Prestwick, Scotland.
What you will do:
This placement offers exposure to the EH&S function, providing you with hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment with specific exposure to:
Risk Assessment completion and management.
Behaviour Based Safety and effective communication and feedback.
Identification and reporting of near misses and concerns.
Digital Innovation/ Incident Management
Qualifications we prefer:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask effectively, plan and prioritise workload.
Recent completion of or in progress of completing a university or College qualification with focus on Health & Safety/ Risk Management and have a keen interest in working in the aerospace sector. NEBOSH General Certificate holders will be considered.
Compliance with all policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and ITC requirements is essential.
