Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:

This field sales position is responsible to sell Regional & Store level client leadership on the benefits of the J.Crew credit card program so that they will in turn drive product engagement and in store execution to accomplish/exceed credit goals. Position would be required to maintain relationships through effective and timely communication, attending market/store meetings, develop in store product execution strategies/action plans, and ensure regional strategies are effectively rolled out to stores. 

This position will support a territory including California, Texas, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico and preferred location is in California.

Position requires significant travel via company car.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive credit application volume and program penetration to meet/exceed Op Plan, using store-level action plans and consistent follow-up.

  • Protect and elevate customer experience. Ensure field visits are elevated and follow J.Crew brand standards. Create elevated experience by identifying friction points in the credit/customer journey and implement improvements.

  • Conduct ongoing training and coaching for store leaders and associates on credit value proposition, selling behaviors, compliance guardrails, and process execution.

  • Implement and maintain in-store marketing programs; audit signage/POS materials for brand and compliance standards and escalate/correct gaps.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with store, market, and regional leaders; align credit initiatives to store priorities and operating rhythms.

  • Develop and execute credit awareness and event-based plans (e.g., peak periods, store events, new store openings) with store/market leadership.

  • Compile results, analyze trends, and present performance updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders and field/client leaders.

  • Manage travel budget and schedule store visits effectively, and allocate resources to highest-opportunity locations.

  • Support new store openings, relocations, and special events to ensure credit readiness, training, and marketing compliance from day one.

  • Support GM and client team initiatives and complete special projects as assigned.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience working in the Financial Services Field or Retail Store Management. Or in lieu of completed degree, HS diploma/GED and 5+ years' experience working in the Financial Services Field or Retail Store Management
  • Minimum of 3 years of field or outside sales experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years Client Relationship Management experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Experience developing presentations and pitching to all levels of management.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willing to travel up to 75% of the time.

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

                    

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Occasionally you will be required to commute or travel for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
