To help deliver on this mission, we are seeking an AVP of Brand, Sponsorship and Experiential Strategy. This leader will develop breakthrough, business-moving advertising strategies to promote Humana Insurance brands and help to build and enhance our robust Sponsorship and Experiential marketing portfolio. This role is ideal for a strategic marketer who deeply understands target audiences and how to develop campaign strategies that deliver results in a dynamic, regulated environment.
This position resides within the Marketing Organization, which is part of the broader Enterprise Growth team. The successful candidate will extensively collaborate with the following partners: Market Presidents, Consumer Insights and Analytics, Lifecycle Marketing, Marketing Operations and Marketing Data and Technology.
Role Responsibilities
As a senior leader on Humana’s Brand, Product Marketing and Media team, you will drive Brand strategy across lines of business and member segments.
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of brand strategy and advertising campaigns that will build awareness and affinity for Humana Insurance brands.
- Oversee all Sponsorship and Experiential Marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand vision and business objectives.
- Monitor market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities for differentiating Humana Insurance brands.
- Partner with analytics teams to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) evaluating the effectiveness and optimization of advertising, sponsorship, and experiential initiatives.
- Establish a differentiated Brand positioning for Insurance brands; build out brand guidelines and artifacts to support consistent application across touchpoints.
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on brand health, market differentiation, and experiential strategy.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and vendors to maximize ROI and brand impact.
- Direct and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Your leadership will ensure that Humana Insurance brands are differentiated from competitors in a meaningful way that will drive engagement and growth for our business.
Use your skills to make an impact
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Strategy, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in brand strategy, advertising, and experiential marketing, preferably within insurance, healthcare, or regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and enterprise-level marketing initiatives.
- Proven experience managing large-scale sponsorships and experiential marketing programs.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or certification in Marketing Strategy, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management.
- Strong understand of marketing analytics, segmentation, and performance measurement.
- Background in agile marketing planning or enterprise transformation.
- Experience managing large budgets and vendor relationships.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
