Senior SAP ABAP & S/4HANA Architect / Lead Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP and S/4HANA technical expert to design, build, and modernize enterprise-scale SAP solutions. This role will play a critical part in S/4HANA transformation initiatives, clean core extensibility, cloud and event-driven architectures, and advanced integration scenarios across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in ABAP on HANA, CDS, RAP, SAP BTP, and integration technologies, along with strong collaboration skills to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Application Development & Architecture
- Design, develop, and implement complex SAP applications using ABAP, ABAP Objects, and ABAP on HANA for enterprise-scale systems.
- Architect and develop Core Data Services (CDS) views, including analytical models, hierarchies, and CDS table functions to support both transactional and analytical use cases.
- Develop and optimize ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) and SQLScript logic to enable code pushdown and high-performance processing on SAP HANA.
- Perform performance analysis and tuning of ABAP programs, CDS views, and database queries using SAP HANA tools and best practices.
- Design and build applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), including behavior definitions and service bindings.
- Build side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP using the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), integrating with S/4HANA via APIs and event-based communication.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using SAP Event Mesh to enable asynchronous, loosely coupled integrations.
For this role you will need Minimum Requirements
5-7 years work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) preferred.
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$92,700.00 - $185,400.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
