Job Description
Are you interested in jumping into the driver’s seat of our sensational FireTV partner products? We are looking for exceptional talent to join as System Development Engineer in the Fire TV team, to scale the build and release system to meet the exponential growth of the business.
Our charter is to scale FireTV business, enabling 3P partners, including OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and ODMs (Original Device Manufacturers) to build high quality Fire TV products in a self-service manner, at cost parity with Android TVs.
As a member of the team, you will be working with business partners, software development engineers product partners, to design, implement, test, and scale build and release systems and tools. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. You will learn and deploy a variety of innovative technologies, AI solutions, development processes, and develop well-rounded skills including tech and product leadership, and effective project management. You will also mentor junior engineers.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will
- Design, develop, implement, test, and document source code management, build and release systems, tools, and services.
- Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
- Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.
- Mentor junior engineers.
About the team
FireTV 3P engineering team is chartered to bring enchanting FireTV experiences to third party devices. This is an opportunity to design, develop and own the software that disrupts TV viewing experience and impact billions of viewers and devices.
We are spinning up a greenfield engineering team to build tools and technologies which will redefine the way 3P partners build their TVs on FireTV ecosystem. With exciting roadmap and launches planned ahead. FireTV 3P engineering team will independently own, deliver and support end to end product journey for partners.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
