Job Summary

The Facilities Manager provides oversight within Abbott's Corporate Engineering Global Facility Operations governance structure. Ensures key performance indicators, service levels, and contract obligations are achieved. Successful candidate will be station in Singapore report to Regional Manager, International Facilities Management

Major Accountabilities    

• Financial Stewardship & Cost Optimization Ownership of OPEX, CAPEX, and project budgets with strict cost control, Prepare and present budgets, forecasts (LBE), and variance analysis, Identify and execute resource optimization and cost saving initiatives. 
• Operational Continuity & Service Excellence. Ensure uninterrupted, safe, high quality facility operations aligned with Abbott, GFO studs., Deliver on KPIs, SLAs, contract obligations. Act as primary escalation, decision authority during operational disruption.
• People Leadership & Capability Building Develop, motivate, and engage GFO teams and service partners, Lead performance management, succession planning, and skills development, foster a culture aligned with Abbott Values and collaboration.
• Strategic Facilities & Space Planning: Lead occupancy and space planning for current operations and future growth. Serve as strategic partner to Division GMs, Directors, and Bacs, Support country and regional GFO strategy execution.
• Governance, Compliance & Audit Readiness: Full accountability for statutory, regulatory, EHS, and corporate compliance. Maintain continuous audit readiness (internal, external, regulatory), Ensure contractor, vendor compliance on Health, Safety, Security std
• Safety, Sustainability & ESG Leadership: Lead EHS incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions, Drive energy, water, and waste reduction initiatives, Oversee LEED, ISO 50001, 6S, ERT, and sustainability programs.
•  Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Apply new technologies and leading-edge facility practices, implement best in class industry standards and continuous improvement initiatives, capture internal and external customer feedback to drive service excellence.

Requirements

• Experience in Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Facilities Management
• Interacts well with diverse groups across divisions, maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators and builds effective relationships with key users
• Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences, while optimizing overall divisional goals
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, preferably in technical discipline: Engineering, Sciences, and Operations Management
• Min 4 years of facilities management experience
