Enrollment Manager

The mission of our schools is to educate responsible citizen scholars for success in a college of their choice and a life of active citizenship. Core to achieving this mission is the aspect of parent choice. Our Enrollment Manager manages and executes the student recruitment tactics and community outreach work needed to fill seats for 10 schools in Democracy Prep New York. With a strong understanding of the communities where Democracy Prep operates, the Enrollment Manager implements efforts to find families to apply to, and register in, our schools.  Additionally, the Enrollment Manager provides coaching and strategic thought partnership to school-based teammates on student retention best practices in order to support full enrollment throughout the course of the school year.

• You have experience in community organizing, marketing, and charter school student recruiting and enrollment (preferred) and are a graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program (required).

What You’ll Do: 

New Student Recruitment

• In collaboration with the CMO Operations Leaders, coordinate enrollment efforts, including but not limited to day-to-day enrollment processes, enrollment campaigns, and enrollment events.
• Design impactful enrollment campaigns that drive new families to Democracy Prep. Leverage data and family survey results to tailor messaging to families
• Work in close partnership with the Canvas Team Lead to train and coach canvassing team, while also participating in our canvassing efforts. 
• Lead preparation for enrollment strategy meetings across Democracy Prep New York's schools. Support with enrollment events such as school fairs and Open House events.
• Complete other enrollment and marketing related tasks as designated by CMO Operation Leaders. 

Enrollment System Design & Current Scholar Retention

• Provide suggestions around needed professional development for school-based operations teams in accordance with the enrollment cycle, and lead professional development sessions for school-based operations teammates.
• Serve as a central point of contact for school-based operations teammates as they execute enrollment efforts for their campuses
• Manage our application portal and SchoolMint, and evaluate enrollment systems to ensure ease of use from all stakeholders; build recommendations for improvement in processes to CMO Operations Leaders where necessary.
• Develop systems for ensuring that families that enroll at Democracy Prep Public Schools have a smooth and welcoming enrollment experience.
• Partner with CMO Operations Leaders to design and implement strong student retention practices to support full enrollment, and coach school-based operations teammates to support student retention both throughout the school year and over the summer.
• Support with the design of student matriculation plans and coach schools on execution to ensure a smooth transition between Democracy Prep campuses.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program strongly preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in enrollment management in a school setting preferred
• Writt
