Key Responsibilities:
As a Transportation & Trade Ops Analyst, you will have the opportunity to grow your career with the company and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Shipment Milestones & On-Time Delivery Management: Track and share shipment milestones (e.g., ATA, customs release date, planned delivery date to 3PL) with relevant stakeholders for visibility and planning to meet OTD performance.
- Freight Forwarder and Broker Collaboration for Import and Export Shipments
- Create export‑related data in SAP, including Booking Orders, and coordinate schedules with freight forwarders to ensure accurate planning and timely shipment execution
- Coordinate end‑to‑end import and export clearance with customs brokers for medical devices, drugs and quasi‑drugs.
- Verify shipping document integrity (e.g., commercial invoice/packing list/product licenses/permits) and respond promptly to Thai Customs or Thai FDA inquiries/issues.
- Post‑Clearance Delivery Scheduling to 3PL
- Manage delivery schedules with the broker to the 3PL warehouse, prioritizing urgent shipments for expedited clearance and delivery.
- Proactively resolve exceptions to meet customer/internal timelines.
- Customs Duty & VAT Reporting for Accounting: Prepare and reconcile reports to support duty and VAT accounting/booking in alignment with AP & Finance teams
- Freight Invoice and Brokerage Fee Validation & Payment Coordination: Validate and review freight forwarder and broker invoices/fee schedules against agreed terms, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate timely payment with AP. Maintain rate files and support RFQ/benchmarking.
- SOP Management and Improvement: Manage freight forwarder and customs broker performance, capacity, and escalations. Own SOPs and run regular ops reviews to improve service performance.
- Exceptions & Claims: Lead response to damage, loss, and mis‑delivery, contain, communicate, file/manage claims with evidence, and close with CAPA/SOP updates.
- Primary Stakeholders: Customs Broker(s), Freight Forwarder(s), 3PL
- Internal Partners: Trade Compliance, Intercompany Order Management, Planning, Sourcing, Finance, AP
Skills and Expertise:
For success in this role, you will need the following minimum qualifications:
- Degree / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or other related disciplines
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in import/export transportation and customs brokerage coordination.
- Strong working knowledge of Thailand imports procedures for medical devices (primary) and familiarity with pharmaceuticals/quasi‑drugs.
- Experience responding to Thailand Customs and FDA queries/issues.
- Strong attention to details, organization, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Prior experience coordinating with customs brokers, freight forwarders or carriers, and 3PLs for regulated products.
- Familiarity with duty/VAT posting flows and AP coordination for broker fee and freight invoice payments.
- Experience in transportation systems, SAP S/4HANA TM and GTS are added advantages
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Language: Fluent Thai and proficient business English (written and spoken).
