Analyzes workforce data to develop strategic insights to enable effective workforce planning and reporting. Evaluates workforce data, organizational staffing levels, current workforce talent, and anticipated talent needs. Recommends workforce operational and strategic changes to align with business needs and strategies.

Manages group and employee work to align with corporate/department objectives. Direct reports are typically M1 managers or professional level employees.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: 

The HR Data Scientist & Continuous Improvement Manager partners with HR leaders to identify opportunities, solve workforce challenges, and deliver actionable insights using advanced analytics. The position also leads and prioritizes a portfolio of analytics and data infrastructure initiatives and manages a team of data scientists. This role requires advanced analytics and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable data products and repeatable analysis pipelines; improve data
    quality, governance, and documentation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline HR analytics processes, reduce cycle time, and improve accuracy and stakeholder experience.
  • Create clear leader-ready narratives, dashboards, and visualizations that connect insights to business actions and outcomes.
  • Manage intake and prioritization of ad-hoc requests and strategic projects; set timelines, allocate resources, and track delivery.
  • Coach and develop a team of data scientists

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in analytics, data science, or quantitative consulting, including delivering insights to senior leaders.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience in People Analytics, HR analytics, or workforce planning within a large/complex organization.
  • Experience and understanding of Workday

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency in Python for analysis and modeling
