Position Purpose:

Responsible for facilitating the execution of merchandising objectives as it pertains to departmental program and/or processes. This would include evaluation of current programs development, coordination and execution. Key contact and responsible for aligning cross functional work groups to achieve goals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • 40% Working directly with Divisional Merchandise Manager in evaluating, constructing and implementing current departmental projects
  • 25% Key point of contact and leader for processes and projects within the department
  • 20% Development and coordination of cross functional relationships to achieve key objectives
  • 15% Able to analyze data and reporting to make decisions and present to key stakeholders

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • This role reports to a Divisional Merchandise Manager or Sr. Merchant
  • This role has no direct reports

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Project Management Certification or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Certification
  • Ability to self-start and identify areas for process improvements and can coordinate solution - based activities
  • Ability to plan and organize time and resources to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to navigate through Home Depot systems and knowledge of Home Depot processes

Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
