As a Senior Director of Client Partnerships on Vox Media’s Publisher Enterprise team, you will be a senior revenue leader responsible for expanding high-value Media & Entertainment industry relationships and driving new business growth with major studios, streaming & social platforms, and networks. You will serve as a trusted strategic partner to decision-makers and agencies, delivering innovative, audience-first solutions that elevate brands and connect them with highly engaged communities.
Leveraging Vox Media’s premium publisher content portfolio (including leading editorial brands across culture, entertainment, sports, lifestyle, and tech), high-value audiences, and cutting-edge advertising technology, you will architect partnerships that drive measurable business outcomes. This role demands visionary thinking, exceptional consultative sales expertise, the ability to influence at the C-suite level, a relentless drive to exceed ambitious revenue goals, and thrive in high pressure environments.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead Strategic Entertainment Growth: Develop and execute a long-term revenue strategy to expand business with existing and new Media & Entertainment clients.
- Cultivate Executive-Level Relationships: Build and deepen relationships with senior decision-makers at major entertainment companies and agencies, positioning Vox Media as a go-to strategic partner.
- Proactive Market Engagement: Identify industry trends, evolving audience behaviors, and client challenges, proactively delivering cross-platform solutions before RFPs are issued.
- Consultative Sales Leadership: Translate entertainment client needs into high-impact campaigns using Vox Media’s content, talent, live events, video, branded content, and programmatic capabilities.
- Entertainment Category Authority: Serve as an internal and external thought leader, providing market intelligence and insights to shape sales strategies and inspire innovative client solutions.
- Revenue Accountability: Own forecasting, pipeline development, and quarterly/annual sales targets, with full accountability for results and strategic account planning.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with editorial, creative, production, programmatic, and product teams to deliver custom, culturally resonant proposals.
- Brand Advocacy: Represent Vox Media at key industry events, conferences, and client forums to expand our presence and thought leadership within the entertainment ecosystem.
WHO YOU ARE
- Proven Media & Entertainment Seller: 6+ years in digital media sales experience, with a track record of success. This is an LA based role.
- Strategic Dealmaker: Skilled in complex, consultative sales to senior entertainment executives and agency leadership, with experience securing complex partnerships.
- Entertainment Insider: Deep understanding of the entertainment ecosystem—film, television, streaming, and social platforms—and a strong network within those sectors.
- Visionary & Entrepreneurial: Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to anticipate market shifts and client needs.
- Influential Communicator: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to inspire and persuade at the highest levels.
