As a member of the Controllership SSC team, the Revenue Analyst will partner with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Pricing teams, serving as a trusted advisor for customer contract negotiations. The role involves performing contract review and applying technical guidance for revenue recognition compliance. The Analyst will focus on operational work and queue management, including quote approvals and smaller modifications, and will serve as part of a Center of Excellence (COE) for Deal Desk cases and contract reviews requiring Revenue team intervention. The team provides global business support across all Salesforce products, clouds, professional services, and newly acquired companies (including Informatica), as well as alliances and resellers. The position is based in Mexico City and will support US and European teams as part of a 24-hour global coverage model alongside the India team.
- Review customer contracts and apply technical guidance for revenue recognition compliance under ASC 606
- Manage daily queue operations including quote approvals and contract modifications
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Pricing teams as a trusted advisor during contract negotiations
- Serve as a COE resource for Deal Desk cases requiring Revenue team review
- Participate in SOX compliance activities
- Interact with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Support global business across all Salesforce products, clouds, and acquired entities
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to a SaaS business model in the tech industry
- Experience in accounting, revenue recognition, or public accounting (Big Four experience a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with Sales teams while protecting Salesforce's accounting interests
- Fluent English is required — this role supports US and European teams
- Experience managing complex business models driven by acquisitions and strategic go-to-market shifts
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
- Background from tech companies (e.g., Microsoft, Siemens, Oracle) or public accounting is highly valued
