About the Opportunity

As a Senior Test Engineer – Java & Playwright, you will be a key contributor to the quality and reliability of our modern, cloud‑native, distributed ecosystem. You will help build a unified Digital Customer Experience platform that connects eCommerce, product information, content, and self‑service functionalities into a seamless customer journey.

You will work hands‑on across backend and frontend test automation, collaborate closely with developers and architects, and ensure high‑quality delivery across microservices, integrations, and Azure‑based components. This role demands technical ownership, structured problem‑solving, and a quality‑first mindset.

Your Tasks Include

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test solutions for backend and frontend systems
• Creating and executing component, integration, and end‑to‑end tests using Java, Playwright, Selenium, and Gherkin
• Testing REST APIs, messaging systems, Azure cloud services, and microservice integrations
• Analyzing logs, system behavior, and test results to identify defects, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborating with developers, architects, and product teams to define effective test strategies
• Supporting CI/CD automation and contributing to continuous quality improvements within a Scrum team
• Monitoring production and pre‑production environments using Grafana to proactively detect anomalies

Your Profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in Java test automation (JUnit 5, Mockito, REST API testing, Maven)
• Practical experience with Playwright or Selenium, with good knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience testing web applications (ideally Angular) and event‑driven or microservice‑based architectures
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps), Git, and collaborative review tools
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of quality topics, and operate confidently in distributed cloud systems
• Strong communication skills and readiness to challenge suboptimal solutions constructively
• Willing to work on a hybrid setup and mid‑shift schedule

Nice to Have

Performance or security testing experience, AI‑assisted testing exposure, and the ability to define test strategies in complex, distributed environments.
