- We are seeking an Assistant Vice President for our Business Analytics Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of analytical solutions to support key business objectives for Banking Operations & Analytics as part of COO (Chief Operating Office). This role requires a strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights and fostering a data-driven culture.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The AVP (Banking Operations & Analytics) accomplishes results by contributing significantly to the bank's success by focusing on data insights, storytelling, and navigating business scenarios.
- Acts as a crucial link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that solutions align with business needs and deliver value. Their primary role is to improve organizational effectiveness by analyzing business processes, identifying problems, and recommending solutions.
- Understanding Business Needs: Supporting Business Execution activities for Chief Operating Officer, implement analytical solutions to manage banking operations like spend and utilization insights with contextualized metrics.
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, which may include Process automation / optimization and data visualization techniques.
- Process Analysis and Improvement: Analyzing current "as-is" business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization. They then design "to-be" processes that incorporate best practices and leverage technology.
- Solution Design and Evaluation: Develop and execute the analytics strategy – Data Ingestion, Reporting / Insights Centralization, expand analytic coverage, rationalize, consolidate & convert existing manual reports into dashboards to cover key KPI with actionable insights.
- Stakeholder Communication and Management: Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in analytics. Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
Core Competencies:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex problems, analyze data, and identify root causes and effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Story telling with excellent verbal and written communication to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences, from technical developers to executive stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identifying issues and developing practical, value-driven solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Building report, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts among various project participants.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Business Analytics & Transformation roles with proficiency in data analytics tools/technologies like SQL, SAS, Python, PySpark, Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.
- Strong understanding of data & analytics ecosystem, establish a scalable analytics framework – data strategy, process optimization, actionable insights, visualization techniques.
- Experience in Developing and Deploying AI solutions in partnership with Tech and Business
- Experience with any banking operations (e.g., expense analytics, movement of funds, cash flow management, fraud analytics, ROI). Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security
- AI / Gen AI proficiency and thought leadership in Financial/Business Analysis and/or operation risk analysis with ability to impact key business drivers
Education:
- Master’s /MCA or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Computer Science
