Job Description

The role

As a (Senior) Manager for Procurement Value Engineering at HelloFresh, you will contribute to strengthening our Procurement, Supply Chain and FSQA performance globally. You will support the delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across the end-to-end value chain, focusing on spend optimization, margin enhancement, operational efficiency, and supplier network improvements that directly influence EBIT/COGS as well as product freshness and quality.

In this position, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams - incl. Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, DC Fulfilment, Finance, Product (for New Ingredient Developments) and Quality - to drive impactful initiatives across HelloFresh’s 18 markets on three continents.
Your work will encompass value engineering, route-to-market strategies, ingredient and packaging innovation, and the continuous improvement of processes both internally and with suppliers.

Above all, we are looking for people who will make HelloFresh better. We believe there are many different ways of developing skills and we love diverse experiences! So even if you don’t “tick all the boxes” but think you’d thrive in this role, we would really like to learn more about you.

What you’ll do

Value Engineering & Cost/Margin Optimization

    • Identify and deliver cross-functional improvement initiatives across the end-to-end value chain, improving EBIT, COGS, and Free Cash Flow.
    • Support spend optimization with Strategic Procurement across Directs and Indirects, driving margin-enhancing strategies that balance cost, quality, and service.
    • Improve inventory management and working capital efficiency by addressing structural supply chain and operational optimization opportunities.

Supplier & Operational Performance Improvement

    • Conduct process reviews with suppliers and distribution centers (e.g., value stream mapping, lean assessments) to enhance productivity, compliance with specifications, and overall product handling standards.
    • Drive ingredient quality improvements and enablement initiatives across suppliers, upstream logistics, and fulfillment centers.
    • Benchmark and harmonize procurement and supply chain processes to improve supplier performance, operational consistency, and cross-market best practice adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration, Innovation & Execution Excellence

    • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Product and Quality functions to support New / Existing Ingredient Development (NID), innovation initiatives, and route-to-market improvements.
    • Use analytics and business judgment to structure and solve complex operational challenges, preparing clear and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the procurement and supply chain community, ensuring effective execution of initiatives across clusters and geographies.
