We are searching for the best talent for Senior Financial Analyst Sales & Marketing Finance (Surgery) to be in Markham, ON.
This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid working schedule, with days both in the office and remote each week.
Purpose:
As the Senior Financial Analyst on the Sales & Marketing Finance team for Surgery (Ethicon), you will be the trusted commercial finance partner to Sales, Marketing and Revenue Operations. Working as a high-autonomy individual contributor, you’ll translate clinical and commercial data into rigorous forecasts, ROI analyses, and executive-ready narratives that shape GTM investment, territory planning, pricing experiments, and product launch strategy across Canada.
You’ll be joining the Finance team supporting Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s Surgery business in Canada — a global leader in surgical technologies that advances outcomes across wound closure, biosurgery, surgical stapling, surgical energy, instruments, robotics and digital solutions. Ethicon’s products and programs help clinicians reduce complications and improve patient recovery; your analyses will directly influence where the business invests to accelerate adoption, improve ROI, and drive growth across hospital and clinic channels.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead monthly and rolling forecasts for revenue, gross-to-net, and Sales & Marketing spend for the Surgery (Ethicon) segment; run scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform executive decisions.
- Perform quantitative analysis and financial modeling of tenders and pricing agreements, quantify customer value-adds, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve win rate, margin, and contract lifetime value.
- Produce executive-ready dashboards, KPI scorecards, and concise variance analyses that surface drivers, risks, and recommended actions.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Clinical Education teams to translate commercial and clinical plans into aligned financial targets and measurable KPIs.
- Support the Commercial Operations team with quota and compensation modeling, territory shaping, and incentive design with rigorous financial analysis.
- Identify and implement automation and data-pipeline improvements to increase reporting accuracy and reduce manual work.
- Deliver ad-hoc analyses for strategic initiatives — pricing tests, new product introductions (including advanced devices and digital/robotic solutions), and commercial diligence.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive FP&A, commercial finance, or Sales & Marketing finance experience (preferably supporting revenue-generating teams).
- Proven financial modeling and forecasting skills; familiarity with scenario/sensitivity analysis and unit-economics.
- Advanced Excel expertise (modeling best practices)
- Experience building visualizations and dashboards in a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
- Track record of working with minimal supervision, prioritizing competing requests, and influencing non-finance stakeholders with clear, concise recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — comfortable preparing executive-level materials and presenting findings.
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Eligible to work in Canada.
- Experience in MedTech, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare commercial finance — familiarity with hospital procurement, clinical education programs, or device adoption dynamics.
- Hands-on experience with CRM/RevOps systems, ERP/financial systems (TM1, SAP, etc.), and connecting commercial systems to finance models.
- Exposure to cloud FP&A tools (Anaplan, AFO).
- CPA, CFA, or other relevant credentials.
Diversity and inclusion are central elements of the shared culture across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. Attracting, developing and retaining a workforce that reflects the diversity of our customers and communities is essential to our success. We are committed to providing a respectful, inclusive and accessible work environment where all employees have the opportunity to achieve their potential.
Why you’ll want to join
- High-visibility role influencing investments across a world-class surgical portfolio that directly improves patient outcomes.
- Hybrid work model with flexibility for work/life balance.
- Professional development allowance and opportunities to partner with clinical, marketing, and commercial leaders.
- Standard comprehensive benefits (health/dental/vision), option of DC or DB retirement savings plan, and programs that support well-being and career growth.
