WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering collaborates with various teams across the enterprise—including Consumer Creation, NXT, Demand & Capacity, Chemical Engineering, Tooling Engineering, Modernization, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, and our Manufacturing Partners. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining the manufacturing systems, processes, and tools that are essential to fulfilling our commitment to athletes.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering for Nike Footwear, you will join a global team dedicated to product excellence. Minimum requirements include:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, or science field

  • 8+ years' footwear industry experience in manufacturing, engineering, or development

  • Experience collaborating with various stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, including systems, processes, technologies, and materials; proven ability to identify opportunities and drive progress

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for informed decision-making

  • Effective team player and leader, skilled in coaching and inspiring others

  • Forward-thinking mindset; actively welcomes diverse perspectives and challenges conventional approaches

  • Fluent English (spoken and written) and proficiency in MS Office and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you are responsible for driving progress among Nike's manufacturing partners, ensuring they meet strategic goals and uphold quality standards. You collaborate closely with internal teams and factory partners to evaluate initiatives, implement best practices, and foster the development of future-ready skills. You actively participate in product development, provide manufacturing insights, manage risks, and scale innovations. Additionally, you lead the Manufacturing Engineering team, nurture diverse talent, and plan for organizational succession.

  • Ensure manufacturing partners adhere to Nike’s strategic goals and quality standards

  • Collaborate with Footwear Manufacturing Systems Engineering and factory teams to evaluate global strategic initiatives

  • Partner with leadership and factory teams to apply standardized best practices on the workshop floor

  • Develop future-ready skills and competencies within manufacturing teams

  • Participate in product tear-down meetings, provide manufacturing feedback, and identify risks and manufacturability challenges

  • Drive issue resolution and scale new capabilities and innovations at the factory level

  • Ensure manufacturability and readiness of innovative manufacturing methods and technologies

  • Manage Manufacturing Engineering team performance and build diverse, high-performing teams

  • Create succession plans for key positions within the organization
