- Support and provide oversight for all regional Global Trade activities, including import, export, duty savings, and special trade program activities.
- Develop and implement internal controls relating to Baxter’s global trade activities in order to maintain a high standard of compliance with Customs and other government agency laws and regulations, minimize the risk of penalty and fines due to non-compliance, maximize opportunities for duty reduction, and to provide Global Trade support for all Baxter entities.
- Help define strategic planning opportunities for trade operations, maintain a dedicated, high performing Global Trade team that effectively performs compliance activities and build relationships with facilities and/or country personnel to understand existing/future operations.
- Support & drive continuous improvement projects to ensure globally consistent best in class processes, systems, and standards.
- Keep abreast of all legislative and regulatory changes. Monitor regulations affecting international trade, assess impact and communicate compliance and customs requirements to key stakeholders.
