What You Will Do:

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team in executing tasks supporting the PW-internal and external repair businesses and/or engine centers
  • Lead the Project Engineering Discipline in planning and tracking Projects to achieve optimal efficiency and establish best practice in project planning.
  • Lead the triaging, planning, tracking and reporting progress for assigned repair case work. Interface with the ASE Program Managers and Discipline Managers on schedule, budget and performance. Drive for excellence in on-time delivery.
  • Support PW-internal and external repair businesses and/or engine centers.
  • Identify risk and manage risk reduction efforts
  • Drive continuous improvement activities and robust root cause investigations to ensure ASE and P&W continue to deliver world class customer and shareholder value

  Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering and minimum 8+ years of related experience or an Advanced degree and minimum 5+ years.
  • Project Engineering experience.
  • Experience managing risk, cost, quality, and schedule for programs with domestic and international customers.
  • Experience executing a long-term strategy, partnering with customers and internal stakeholders to execute that strategy.
  • US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or similarly complex, safety-critical industries.
  • Proven success working with cross-functional engineering teams through the full product lifecycle—from proposal and concept to production and service. 
  • Good communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and represent engineering with internal and external customers. 
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), budgeting, and resource planning
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs and experience in managing program staffing, assignments, and resources.
  • Relevant shop experience, either OEM or component repair.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
