As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.

 

 

General Profile: CIM Engineer with excellent manufacturing systems technical skillset who can independently support and troubleshoot CIM and systems related issues. Focused on system stability, fast issue resolution, and reliable data flow across CIM, MES, tools, and reporting systems. Works under minimal supervision and escalates complex issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support

  • Provide operational support for CIM, MES, reporting, and related factory systems.
  • Act as point of contact for system issues impacting production, yield, or data integrity.
  • Monitor system health, interfaces, and scheduled jobs to ensure stable factory execution.

Troubleshooting & Incident Management

  • Deliver 1st level and intermediate troubleshooting for application, system, and data issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for system downtime, data inconsistencies, and performance degradation.
  • Work closely with IT, system developers, and engineering teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.

Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance operations dashboards and reports (e.g. yield, cycle time, OEE, tool performance).

System Ownership & Change Control

  • Support assigned internal and 3rd party applications, databases, and VM (Virtual Machine) servers.
  • Assist with patch releases, system upgrades, and configuration changes following change control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with system qualification, audit, and governance requirements.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Create, maintain, and improve SOPs, system documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide clear shift handover and issue updates to ensure continuity across shifts.

Functional Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of CIM and MES systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Handson experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle databases, including basic troubleshooting and data analysis.
  • Practical exposure to Linux and Windows Server administration, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fab operations, production flow and tool integration.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience supporting CIM, MES, or manufacturing systems in a semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing environment.
