Application Specialist – Culinary Applications (Oils & Fats/Non-Food)

For our Culinary Application team in Brabrand (on-site), we are seeking an Application Specialist to support both external and internal customers across EMEA. You will join a strong and collaborative Culinary Applications team covering Meat, Meat Alternatives, Traditional Culinary, Oils & Fats and Non Food.

Based in Brabrand, Denmark, you will work closely with experienced category experts and benefit from global knowledge sharing across IFF, enabling you to challenge existing solutions and help shape the preferred application concepts of the future. Your potential is our inspiration.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Play a central role in translating ingredients technology into customer‑relevant solutions
• Provide technical application support and customer visits across EMEA within Oils & Fats (Margarines & Spreads) and selected Non-Food solutions
• Translate ingredient technologies into customer-relevant application solutions
• Design, execute, and follow up on projects and trials, both internally and at customer sites when required
• Prepare technical documentation and application reports
• Develop new application solutions and concepts aligned with strategic objectives, market trends, and product launches
• Train customers and colleagues in applications and related processes
• Support Research & Development (R&D) projects and patent activities
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop long-term customer partnerships

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Relevant educational background, preferably at M.Sc. level
• 5–10 years of experience in the Food and/or Non-Food industry
• Solid experience within Oils & Fats, including Margarines & Spreads
• Strong technical expertise in emulsifiers
• In-depth understanding of nutrition and food chemistry, particularly fats and crystallization
• Hands-on technical insight combined with a commercial mindset
• Practical experience with manufacturing processes, pilot plants, and analytical techniques
• You're curious, creative, and solution-oriented, with a positive mindset; self-driven and proactive, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion; structured and disciplined, ensuring trials are fully documented and knowledge is shared; adaptable and effective in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and collaborative and able to work with people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
