About Pinterest:

Millions of people around the world come to our platform to find creative ideas, dream about new possibilities and plan for memories that will last a lifetime. At Pinterest, we’re on a mission to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and that starts with the people behind the product.

Discover a career where you ignite innovation for millions, transform passion into growth opportunities, celebrate each other’s unique experiences and embrace the flexibility to do your best work. Creating a career you love? It’s Possible.

At Pinterest, AI isn't just a feature, it's a powerful partner that augments our creativity and amplifies our impact, and we’re looking for candidates who are excited to be a part of that. To get a complete picture of your experience and abilities, we’ll explore your foundational skills and how you collaborate with AI.

Through our interview process, what matters most is that you can always explain your approach, showing us not just what you know, but how you think. You can read more about our AI interview philosophy and how we use AI in our recruiting process here.

As a Staff Designer on our Social Experiences team, you’ll be an integral part of our overall growth strategy, working to build the best possible social experiences to connect users. This includes driving user growth by expanding and enhancing our end-to-end social ecosystem, including finding, connecting, and engaging with your friends and family; improving our existing on- and off-platform sharing flows; and crafting new 0-1 social experiences to drive user retention. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring other designers on the team and driving vision for the future of meaningful connections on Pinterest.

  • Partner closely with your product and engineering counterparts to define product strategy, roadmap, process, and culture for the Social Experiences team
  • Design impactful user-centered features that drive business impact
  • Use storytelling to drive clarity around opportunities, solutions, and learnings for driving the strategy and execution of the team
  • Be comfortable in a fast-paced, data-driven experimental environment
  • Manage feedback from cross-functional stakeholders and leadership across Growth and Core teams
  • Uphold and inspire a high level of design execution throughout the team
  • Grow the people on your team through coaching and mentorship
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate team development, and pioneer ways to utilize AI in the team’s process and within the product experience

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience leading complex user and metrics inspired projects
  • Excellent product thinking and UX design skills
  • Great communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions and the problems they’re solving
  • Ability to set the direction for the team by creating clear and impactful strategies
  • Drive results by holding the team accountable for efficient, high-quality execution of goals
  • A well-versed storyteller with strong presentation skills
  • Experience in balancing speed and quality with a focus on driving impact through both optimizations and 0-1 product development
