Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK leading retail advisors having responsibility to provide advise directly to clients. Currently leasing over 3m sq ft of Shopping Centres as well as acquisition work for a number of national retailers and leisure operators, along with the rise of independent  retailers the successful applicant will have direct responsibility to clients.
With the market profile the team has in the retail and leisure sector, we are involved in providing advice to clients from development concept stage to pre leasing, leasing on a range of sectors including high street, shopping centre, out of town, roadside and leisure meaning the successful applicant will gain significant exposure, market presence and responsibility . 
Having the ability and open mindedness to work with other teams, to support but also contribute to new opportunities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to become recognised, to develop their negotiation skills, develop a wider and greater understanding of the commercial property market being able to provide advice to landlord, developer and tenant clients. You will learn how the relative parties operate, what key elements they require in order to help clients achieve business plan.

Role Purpose:
•    To provide professional advice to clients in support of instructions managed by Associates and Directors
•    Contribute to fee, billing and profit targets

Responsibilities:
 

Clients & Marketing
•    Support the team plan to develop a client portfolio
•    Maintain client relationships and act as liaison with clients on specific projects
•    Familiar with Cushman & Wakefield corporate structure and seeks to develop internal networks
•    Support the team profile in the market
•    Ensure professional advice is provided thoroughly, accurately and within set deadlines
•    Deliver activities and projects within client expectations (e.g. time, quality)
•    Work collaboratively to generate new instructions and pool expertise within the team
•    Develop internal and external network for business pipeline/opportunities.
•    Consult internally and externally to help identify optimum solutions for clients
•    Manage and liaise with internal teams and other external professionals to provide a full service to the client
•    Gather and act on client feedback
•    Keep the marketing database up to date indicating potential clients, transactions done, etc

Profit & Finance
•    Identify potential cross-selling opportunities
•    Contribute to meeting overall departmental fee/billing target
•    Effectively use established systems for debtor and disbursement recovery
Operations & Risk
•    Ensure timesheets are up to date and reflective of current work
•    Ensure work complies with firm procedures and guidelines (health & safety, quality, risk, professional code of conduct, etc.)
People & Teams
•    Keep own knowledge of relevant case law up to date
•    Proactively seek and undertake on the job and formal developmental activities to broaden experience and knowledge
•    Achieve annual objectives set within performance review and actively engage in review process
•    Undertake and record the requisite amount of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
•    Support local office social activities

Responsibilities (specific to the role):
Clients & Marketing
•    Work with the team to build on existing relationships providing essential support with individual ownership and responsibility.
•    Have the opportunity to identify and develop own key clients
•    Identifying new opportunities in the market
Profit & Finance
•    Contribute to the team fee target having own targets
•    Maintain and manage budgeting and marketing expenses
Operations & Risk
•    Ensure compliance against firm procedures and statutory guidelines
•    Monitoring leads and enquiries to ensure compliance
People & Teams
•    Sociable team player who understands the importance of individual focus and responsibility
•    To integrate with other team members in London, Manchester and Glasgow

Qualifications:
•    Degree level qualification
•    Qualification through experience
•    RICS qualification with professional body and member as appropriate

Knowledge & Experience:
•    General practice background for either a corporate, public sector or private practice (for more senior roles)
•    Experience of working in a large practice and/or corporate environment could be advantageous
•    Rounded experience of general surveying skills – not restricted to a narrow practice area
•    An understanding of business development and client relationship management
•    Demonstrable technical competence in areas relevant to role
•    Demonstrable understanding of market and local knowledge
•    Knowledge of the real estate industry sector
•    Some financial awareness
•    Business and report writing experience
•    Detailed knowledge of legislation and case law relevant to role
•    IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
•    IT industry specific packages (i.e. Circle, Developer, Grail, etc)
•    Sound knowledge of macro and micro economics (Consultant only)
•    High level of numerical reasoning and analytical skills (Consultant only)
