Vice President -Senior Testing Manager

The Testing Senior Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team. This role involves integrating deep subject matter and industry expertise in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in quality processes. The manager will contribute to defining the standards that guide the organization's testing practices and must possess an in-depth understanding of how different areas integrate within the sub-function to achieve the entire function's objectives. This position requires developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince colleagues and stakeholders. The manager will be responsible for the quality, timeliness, and delivery of results, and may have duties related to planning, budgeting, and policy formulation within their area of expertise. This includes full management responsibility for a team, covering performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, and disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Advanced Testing Standards: Design, develop, and enforce modern testing standards and procedures with a strong emphasis on automation and AI-driven quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Lead Automation and AI Strategy: Drive the strategy and implementation of test automation frameworks and leverage Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning to enhance testing efficiency, including automated test generation, defect prediction, and intelligent test case prioritization.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement and streamline quality processes by identifying and implementing advanced test automation frameworks and AI-powered testing tools.
• Manage High-Performing Teams: Manage one or more testing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in quality assurance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with client leads, development teams, and business users to ensure alignment on quality objectives and processes.
• Performance and Trend Analysis: Analyze organizational testing trends and follow industry advancements in test automation and AI to continuously enhance quality processes and maintain a competitive edge.
• Resource and Budget Management: Assume full management responsibility for a team, including people management, budget planning, performance evaluations, compensation, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Risk and Compliance: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and apply sound ethical judgment in all business practices.

Qualifications

• Experience: 13+years of experience in project management or leading large-scale, transformational global change initiatives within quality assurance.
• Test Automation: Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium)
• AI in Testing: Strong understanding of leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strategic Thinking: Experience in defining and executing comprehensive automation and quality strategies for complex, large-scale enterprise applications.
• SDLC Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and how to integrate quality assurance seamlessly.
• Testing Process Acumen: Thorough understanding of end-to-end testing processes and experience with test management tools like Jira or similar.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication, diplomacy, and leadership skills with a proven ability to persuade, influence, and guide others.

Education

• Bachelor’s/University degree is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
