The NC Department of Revenue is in search of a Production Control Analyst. This position will report to the IT Operations Manager and provide operational support for the department's infrastructure. The role involves maintaining the z/OS (MVS) Mainframe and CA schedules, ensuring jobs are reset and running in the required sequence, and setting up and scheduling production jobs.


Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and monitor the z/OS (MVS) Mainframe and CA schedules.
• Set up and schedule production jobs on the z/OS (MVS) Mainframe and CA.
• Read, understand, and edit JCL.
• Interact with customers, technicians, analysts, and specialists to troubleshoot problems.
• Identify trends through troubleshooting and recommend future resolutions.


This position is eligible to telework full time after training. The schedule is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Occasional schedule adjustments are made as needed to support business needs.


If you have z/OS (MVS) Mainframe experience, experience with automated job scheduling, and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose IT issues, then we encourage you to apply.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

3 years of experience working in z/OS mainframe using MVS Operating Systems, TSO, and JES2
Experience using job scheduling tools
Ability to read, understand and edit JCL

Experience using CA Workload Control Center

Experience using Zeke

Recruitment Range: $65,607 - $74,000

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, computer science engineering or a closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in operations/systems work or closely related area; or Associate degree in computer information technology, computer engineering technology or networking technology from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in operations/systems work or closely related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
