Job Description

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 8 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

CW-Lead Business Systems Analyst
The Lead Business System Analyst oversees the analysis of business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working with limited oversight, this job reviews that designed system solutions are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job is responsible for managing large projects and processes, while also coordinating efforts among the Business Systems team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides solutions for IT and business management concerning the application of technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.
  • Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.
  • Translates business requirements into application requirements, while working with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
  • Reviews cost estimates of various system solutions and reviews project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
  • Engages client teams and explains complex security initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.
  • Coaches and sometimes delegates work to lower level professionals.

Required Skills 

Candidate must have 8-10 years of experience working with Asset Management firms 

Candidate must have 3-5 years of experience working on investment performance calculation & reporting projects 

Candidate must have 3-5 years of experience with projects related to IBOR systems for Asset Management firms supporting all the major asset classes 

Candidate must be able to query and analyze data using SQL tools 

Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills 

Candidate must have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university in IT/ Computer Science 

Preferred Skills 

Knowledge of Leveraged Loans asset class 

Knowledge of FactSet and Eagle Performance 

Working knowledge of Jira & Confluence 

CFA or CIPM certifications is plus

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
