Job Summary:
The Staff Attorney will serve as a key legal advisor to LG Electronics Alabama, Inc., providing guidance and oversight across a wide range of legal matters. This role will be responsible for reviewing and managing contracts and agreements, advising on compliance and risk management, handling legal claims, and supporting corporate and financial activities. The Staff Attorney will also provide counsel on employment-related issues, property protection, and immigration/visa matters, while ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the organization’s legal objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage and resolve legal claims, including product service, warranty, and other business-related disputes.
- Oversee compliance and risk management activities to ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
- Advise and collaborate with Human Resources on employment-related matters, including EEOC, OSHA, and immigration/visa issues.
- Provide legal guidance on company documents and ensure protection of proprietary and confidential information.
- Handle additional legal matters and projects as assigned.
Qualifications / Education / Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law in the State of Alabama (required).
- 1–2 years of experience preferred in a law firm or corporate legal environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven legal research and analytical abilities.
