About the Role

The Skills Signals team at Udemy is building the core systems that define and manage skills across the platform. We empower learners to measure their skill growth through quizzes, practice tests, and assessments, and help them showcase their progress to the world. Our work supports millions of learners and instructors globally.

We’re hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer (IC3) who thrives on building scalable, end-to-end systems, collaborating across functions, and mentoring teammates. You’ll contribute across the stack—architecting microservices, crafting intuitive UIs, and shaping data pipelines—to deliver impactful learning experiences. This is a chance to take ownership, drive technical direction, and create global-scale impact.

 

What you’ll be doing

  •  Design, develop, and maintain applications that support millions of learners and instructors globally.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure seamless backend–frontend integration, supporting intuitive and impactful instructor experiences.
  • Drive modernization efforts by decomposing legacy systems and reducing technical debt.
