Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Program Manager who will lead a complex set of projects and initiatives and drive results on key strategies.

The role drives the execution of Procurement processes and tools that support Amazon Operations and business leaders to ensure operational systems across more than 2,000+ sites. This position involves regular communication with senior management on progress, risks and change control. You will guide cross-discipline teams, as well as, manage projects and perform executive presentations. In this role, you may have opportunity to grow from an individual contributor to leading a team of supply chain managers.

Key job responsibilities
• Strategic Sourcing: includes conducting market research, identifying potential suppliers, and negotiating contracts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and fortify relationships with key suppliers, particularly OEMs for critical items. Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular supplier evaluations, and implement supplier development initiatives to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
• Supply Chain Continuity: Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to critical items, working closely with suppliers to establish contingency plans and ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Cost Optimization: Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation and total cost of ownership analysis. Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, supplier consolidation, negotiations, group purchasing optimization and process improvements to achieve cost savings.
• Contract Management: Develop and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Lead adoption of the new products or service across the procurement function supporting business stakeholders
• Drive consensus across the organization to create scalable business solutions
• Regular reporting and dialogue with senior management on progress, risks and change control
• Travel up to 35% domestically


About the team
The Global Procurement Organization's (GPO) Global Health & Safety Procurement team is seeking a category manager with depth of procurement, supply chain, group purchasing, negotiations and contract experience to manage Amazon’s support to operational facilities. Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is the Indirect Procurement team support Amazon Operations, which includes more than 2,000+ sites across multiple global regions. Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in supply chain management, engineering, business management or other relevant field
- 7+ years of supply chain management (e.g. logistics, inventory turn management, forecasting, operations) experience, or MBA
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in procurement and purchasing, including supplier relationship management

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in supply chain
- Experience in team leadership
- Knowledge of B2B procurement processes
- NVQ Level 3/ SVQ Level 3/ IVQ Level 3/ City & Guilds Level 3/EAL Level 3 all specialized in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics
