Are you a recent college graduate – or graduating in May 2026 - looking to put your academic knowledge to work? Business Risk Partners (BRP) is a Windsor-based Specialty Lines Managing General Agency offering a structured development role designed to grow your underwriting skills in a supportive, team-focused environment. In your role as an Underwriter Assistant Trainee, you will participate in a comprehensive program that provides hands-on learning. This is a full-time position – not a temporary training program - with a start date of September 7, 2026.

What You’ll Do
- Participate in structured underwriting training led by seasoned professionals
- Support multiple underwriters and product lines simultaneously
- Enter submissions into BRP’s submission tracking systems
- Maintain service standards through timely broker responses and administrative support
- Upon completing the training period, transition into day-to-day work on one of our three teams: Management Liability, Professional Liability, or Operations
- Assist with special projects as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
- Energetic, committed self-starter who aligns with our core values
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Collaborative mindset with professionalism and attention to detail
Recruiting Timeline
Our recruiting is a structured process, and final decisions regarding candidate selection will be made at the end of May. Please note that there are three openings available for this role. Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $47,000 – $50,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Work Schedule & Location
Full-time, Monday through Friday

Pursuant to Connecticut regulation, the compensation range for this position is as stated and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
