Dexcom’s Enterprise IT Information Security Engineering team is dedicated to protecting the enterprise. We design, build, and operate enterprise-wide security controls that safeguard patients, employees, and corporate data. Our work spans security tools and other critical technologies that provide guardrails for Dexcom’s global workforce. We partner closely with Identity, Cloud, Platform, Legal/Privacy, and Application teams to ensure security is embedded in every layer of the enterprise, and we advance a practical strategy that balances protection with usability.
As a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer, you will support Dexcom’s security assessment program by driving the adoption of security best practices through technical security assessments. You will leverage your expertise and existing internal processes and tools to deliver thorough and actionable recommendations, manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure timely execution of projects.
- You will support or manage the full lifecycle of vendor, application, compliance, and security assessments, including launch and coordination.
- You will leverage your technical expertise to progress technical security assessments of new tools, applications and systems independently, including guiding end-to-end completion, developing pre and post implementation requirements, and managing exception requests
- You must coordinate with internal stakeholders including IT, compliance, procurement, legal, and other relevant teams to ensure comprehensive coverage and clarity of requirements.
- You must maintain accurate documentation and reporting to facilitate transparency and informed decision-making.
- You must continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced accuracy of assessments.
- You will, at times, provide security consulting and influence adoption of security best practices.
- You may support information security and data privacy compliance audits and associated activities or if needed, support incident response.
- You possess a BS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Your 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT; 3+ years hands-on technical security experience
- Your proven experience performing technical security assessments
- Your knowledge breadth across a variety of network and security infrastructures and best practices
- Your knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Your strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- You have excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and adapting to changing priorities.
- Your willingness to cover US, EMEA or APAC working hours following a sustainable rotation schedule
- Your familiarity with common security assessment tools and methodologies or relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, PMP, CISA) are a plus.
- Your experience with building and/or using AI agents is a strong plus.
