Raisin
Job Description
Raisin is the world's leading platform for savings and investment products. Founded in 2012, the FinTech connects consumers with banks in the EU, the UK and the US. This gives consumers better interest rates and banks a diversified form of refinancing. Our vision is to offer savings and investments without barriers and thus open up the global 160 trillion euro market.
Raisin currently employs more than 800 people from over 75 countries worldwide. Today, the platform holds over 80 billion euros in assets from more than one million investors which have accrued over 5 billion euros in returns.
Team
The Investment & Pension Products (IPP) tribe builds Raisin’s capital markets–based products, enabling customers to grow their wealth with confidence. We turn complex, highly regulated financial systems into transparent, scalable, and reliable product experiences.
As part of the IPP tribe, you will lead a cross-functional engineering team focused on the internationalisation and further evolution of Raisin’s investment products. The team owns its services end-to-end following a strict “you build it, you run it” mindset — including architecture, delivery, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
This is a backend-heavy domain where correctness, auditability, and resilience are non-negotiable.
Your Team’s Stack
- Backend: Java (Sprint Boot), MySQL, Kafka, AWS
- Web: TypeScript, ReactJS
- Mobile: TypeScript, React Native

- You ensure your team’s systems meet high standards of reliability, scalability, security, auditability, and performance.
- You actively participate in architectural discussions and provide technical guidance, especially in backend and event-driven system design.
- You establish and uphold a strong operational culture, including meaningful on-call participation, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- You ensure recurring incidents lead to structural improvements, not temporary fixes.
- You proactively identify delivery, architectural, and organizational risks and escalate them with clear mitigation plans when necessary.
