Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring company Safety and Industrial Hygiene (S&IH) programs, activities and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain the site in a state of readiness for internal and external audits, especially on ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Fosters safety awareness through appropriate promotional methods and channels of communication.
  • Perform workplace risk assessments and routine audits and inspection. Records violations and deficiencies, track actions and follow-up to ensure closure.
  • Liaison with government agencies in S&IH inspection, incident investigation or any related programs.
  • Oversea Emergency Preparedness and Response Program and ensures the competency of Emergency Response Team
  • Work closely with various organization to continuously identify opportunities and develop sustainable solutions on S&IH risks, challenges and requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or equivalent
  • Working knowledge and practical experience in S&IH regulations and guidelines
  • Green Book Holder registered as Safety Officer with DOSH or with Academic Qualification and Eligibility to register as SHO with DOSH to obtain the Green Book Holder.
  • Certified Radiation Protection Officer will be an added advantage.
