We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our J&J Surgical Vision team. This national role is based in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
Purpose
We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead the Surgical Vision Canada marketing organization. This role is a key member of the Canadian leadership team and is accountable for translating global strategy into impactful local execution, driving sustainable growth, and developing high‑performing marketing talent. The successful candidate will bring strong strategic thinking, people leadership, and commercial acumen, while working collaboratively across a highly matrixed organization.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead the development and execution of short‑ and long‑term marketing strategies aligned to global and regional priorities.
- Translate customer insights, market dynamics, and analytics into actionable marketing plans that drive adoption and demand.
- Own business planning, long‑range planning, and forecasting for the Surgical Vision portfolio.
- Provide people leadership to the Canadian marketing team, including coaching, performance development, and succession planning.
- Manage marketing budgets, investment prioritization, and scenario planning to support growth and profitability.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Professional Education, Finance, Regulatory, and Global Marketing teams to deliver launch and marketing excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, and global stakeholders.
- Monitor market, brand, and competitor performance, proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
- Ensure marketing activities are executed compliantly and aligned with Johnson & Johnson values and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in marketing, commercial, or related roles, ideally within medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen, including experience with budgets and forecasting.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 40%, as required.
