Role Definition:

Execute the design, build, deployment of application updates and patches for Desktop OS platform environments and continue to maintain the IT infrastructure using appropriate and trending technologies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates Microsoft Configuration Manager (System Center Configuration Manager – SCCM) planning for distribution of application updates for Caterpillar Enterprise
• Lead actions to maintain the infrastructure of SCCM and related IT systems
• Develop and manage integrations (i.e. Snowflake, ServiceNow)​
• Manage client health (governance dashboard)​
• Conduct pilots for application updates​
• Provide input to package standards and guidance​
• Provide packaging and deployment oversight to Managed Service Provider
• Guide the design solutions by assessing and aligning the current systems to best practices and complying to Caterpillar policies and procedures.
• Execute the middleware application server and automated workflow tools; work with server virtualization technologies.

What you will have:

• SCCM Expertise: Deep understanding of SCCM for deploying, managing, and maintaining software and hardware configurations​
• Windows Server Knowledge: Proficiency in Windows Server environments, including SQL DB
• Networking: Strong knowledge of networking concepts to ensure efficient communication between SCCM and client machines ​
• Cybersecurity Management: Understanding of cybersecurity best practices to ensure configurations are secure and compliant.​
• Degree Requirement: IT related degree or equivalent experience desired
• Pre-advanced English

Top Candidates will also have:

• Knowledge of Windows Modern Device Management (Intune Capabilities and Administration).
• Understanding of physical and virtual desktop environment (Windows 365 Cloud PC)
• Knowledge of following products: MS PowerShell, Azure / AWS, MS Intune

Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
