Wincent has been operating since 2017 and since became the top-10 global crypto market maker and a Gibraltar fund authorised as an Experienced Investor Fund by the GFSC. We are a team of 150+ people, primarily engineers, traders, and quants, focused on trading with around 1% of global crypto volume. We are self-taught; our founders do not come from any of the big HFTs and we chose to have no VCs on the cap table; this spot is for our colleagues.

Why this role exists

This role exists because our recurring fund finance and operations in Gibraltar need more dedicated ownership. You will support your colleagues with work that has to be right: NAV support, reconciliations, ledgers, investor finance admin, audit and month-end control work. This is a high-trust role for someone who takes pride in precision, closure and dependable execution.

What you will do

• Support the preparation of fund financial statements and related workpapers

• Support audits and keep audit-ready records

• Prepare and/or review NAV statements and supporting schedules

• Perform NAV reconciliations and investigate breaks

• Maintain and reconcile ledgers accurately and on time

• Support investor-related finance administration across asset classes

• Run recurring monthly and periodic reconciliations and control checks

• Coordinate with Gibraltar auditors and internal stakeholders

• Spot anomalies, breaks and process exceptions early

• Resolve straightforward issues directly and escalate clearly when needed

• Maintain defensible records, files and supporting evidence

• Improve workflows, mostly in Google Sheets, without weakening controls

What we are looking for

• Relevant finance, accounting or fund-operations experience

• Strong finance and accounting fundamentals

• A reconciliations mindset - holistic system understanding, connecting the dots across rules and exceptions, and spotting when something does not look right.

• Strong spreadsheet skills, especially Google Sheets formulas and data transformation

• Very strong attention to detail

• Clear written and verbal English

• Comfortable working in an asynchronous environment

• Comfortable with work that is recurring, deadline-driven and accuracy-critical

• Willing to be based in Gibraltar or commute from southern Spain

Helpful, but not required:

• Fund accounting, NAV exposure, Investor reporting or investor ledger work

• Audit support

• Digital assets or crypto familiarity

• Progress towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or similar

• Spanish language ability

What success looks like

• Your reconciliations tie out, and when they do not, you know exactly why

• Monthly and periodic control work is delivered on time and with minimal rework

• Audit and NAV support is organised, clear and defensible

• Issues are identified early, explained clearly and followed through properly

• Spreadsheet workflows become cleaner and more reliable over time

• The Gibraltar finance function becomes more stable and work executed consistently

Location / work setup

This role is tied to Gibraltar and is intended to be on-site or mostly on-site. Candidates may live in Gibraltar or commute from southern Spain. UK relocation may be possible. International applications are only realistic
