Job Description
Datadog Code Security is among the fastest growing security products at Datadog. With the rise of coding agents, securing customers' code is becoming more important every day. You will lead Code Security teams to support our growth, expand our product suite to secure AI agents and protect customers from new agentic-based attack patterns. In this role, you will partner closely with product managers to define the Code Security roadmap.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships that it builds, the creativity it brings to the table, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What You’ll Do:

- Deliver The Product Roadmap: Partner with product managers to define the roadmap
- Build And Ship Features: expectation of spending a portion of time (30%+) writing and reviewing production code
- Drive Execution: ensure project execution, prioritize bug fixes and support requests
- Own Operational Excellence: own on-call rotations, incident response and service reliability
- Build AI-Native products: transition Datadog Code Security products to AI-native capabilities
Who You Are:
- Experienced Engineering Manager: You have managed engineering teams and can lead multiple squads across locations and time zones
- Strong Software Architecture Skills: You can design and evolve backend and frontend systems with sound tradeoffs around performance, scale, and maintainability
- Customer-Focused Builder: You’ve shipped production-grade software used by multiple customers and can connect engineering choices to customer outcomes
- Comfortable With Code And Iteration: You can write code, review code, and iterate quickly with engineers, product managers, and designers
- Knowledge Of Code Analysis Concepts: You understand how code analysis works and can reason about accuracy, performance, and developer experience
- Run Healthy Operations: You have experience organizing on-call, driving incident response, and improving reliability without burning out teams
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
Benefits and Growth:
- New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
- Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
