XVA Technology at Citi is undertaking a bold, multi-year transformation to build a best-in-class centralised cross asset platform risk system. We are re-engineering our technology estate to achieve world-leading performance and resiliency, enabling new capabilities. Role Overview/What will you do:

Technology Senior Project Manager Business Analyst serves as a critical bridge between business users and technology teams, focusing on the XVA capability build out for our stakeholders. This role requires a seasoned professional to lead project delivery, elicit and analyze complex requirements, and drive the implementation of strategic technology solutions.

  • Lead and manage project lifecycles from conception to implementation, ensuring successful delivery of complex technology solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth business analysis, including leading workshops and interviews to elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements (BRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Technology, Operations, and MQA to define and document XVA requirements, ensuring compliance and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications and robust solution designs in partnership with architects and developers.
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), provide demos to business stakeholders, and secure necessary sign-offs for implemented solutions.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners, influencing decisions and ensuring clear understanding of project status and requirements.
  • Support IT processes such as change management, release planning, and incident resolution, while continuously developing expertise in system functionalities.
  • Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Key Skills and Experience required

  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within the financial services industry, preferably in a global investment bank.
  • Proven track record in project management, successfully leading large-scale change or technology projects using both waterfall and agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies.
  • Strong financial industry experience, particularly in trading and risk management.
  • Exceptional analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills with the ability to dissect complex issues, make data-driven recommendations, and manage complex, variable situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and approach work methodically with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner, influence, and build strong working relationships across organizational lines and with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in tools like SQL, Excel (intermediate/advanced), and workflow documentation software.
  • Strong understanding of market risk concepts and demonstrate SME level knowledge.

Any Beneficial / Nice to have skills and experience:

  • Risk background preferred.
  • Experience using AI-related analysis tools and Agentic-AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern business analysis tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of technology delivery across the entire SDLC.
  • Experience in global stakeholder management and managing offshore teams.
  • Flexibility in attitude/role and ability to pivot seamlessly between demands/priorities.
  • Analytical modeling of Market Risk Var Methodologies. Knowledge for FRTB.
